Women's Empowerment in La Danta, Nicaragua

Pictured below are a few snapshots of the week spent in La Danta, La RACCS, a rural community located twelve hours away from Managua. For the first of the three weeks the AMOS Women's Empowerment team will work here, health stations for pregnant women and children under five were offered. Throughout the week, we also met frequently with the health promoter of the region and the health committee, continually maintaining an informative and sustainable relationship with community leaders. Although the hours-long hikes to different churches and schools across La Danta are difficult, working with and teaching community members is a reward in itself!
